A Gong Bath – by Satu with Sound Intent

You'll be lying down, in comfort, 'bathed' in the sounds of the gongs, Himalayan singing bowls and percussion instruments. The only water element involved is the drinking water! You are advised to drink water before and after the gong bath to flush any released toxins.

I begin the gong bath with a welcome and the chimes of the Tibetan tingsha, then gently tuning the space by playing the Himalayan bowls, slowly bringing in the sounds of the gongs.

The gongs' resonance integrates all the different tone elements into a functional harmony. This enables inner stillness, total relaxation and potential for deep healing. After about 50 minutes of playing the gongs for you, the 'grounding tools' are introduced to finish the gong bath: the sounds of the shakers, rain sticks, bells and chimes will help you to feel grounded and refreshed after the gong bath. We'll hold a few minutes' silence where you may reflect on your experiences.
